Nice keyboard, problems with installing software in XP Pro. Will not install for keyboard, mouse fine. 15% of keys on the board will not work. Microsoft have changed the use of the F keys like F10 which can not be used to save and escape in the bios.

Good Features, Poor Build Quality |

Ive just taken delivery of my Desktop Elite Set and on the whole Im happy with it. As I expected, the tilt wheel is useful when viewing documents or pages at high magnification. Smooth scrolling with wheel is much better than the ratchet feel of the older intellimouses. I had a couple of problems with the installation of the keyboard, but that was probably due to conflicts with the previous drivers from my Logitech keyboard. Ive always preferred MS keyboards. I find they have a much better feel to the "click". Ive had a couple of instances of what could be sticking keys so far, but Im putting it down to the repeat rate setting being too fast. Well see. I find the tilt angles for the keyboard not good. Legs down is too sloping and my hands slip off the(slippy)palm rest. Legs up and the keyboard is too flat. Im not too keen on the cheap-looking semi-transparent keys either. In summary - mouse is excellent, keyboard average, but with lots of useful keys and of course a second tilt scroll wheel.

Does exactly what it says on the tin! |
I dont normally write these reviews but I was so happy with this product that I felt I should. The whole thing was very easy to set up on my XP system, followed the instructions and a few minutes later I was able to type away on my keyboard with no problems. It does not conflict with my wireless internet router either which was a small concern of mine. To top it off, it works when I am well out of the room, which isnt that helpful but it certainly impresses. Actually using the keyboard I found it to be comfortable and robust. Keys on the keyboard can be easily reassigned and the software is easy to use. Things like the calculator button and my documents I am already using, almost forgetting how to access them the long way! It took me a bit to figure out how to open the mouse to put the battery in, but thats a very small issue. Overall, its a bargain buy for Amazon, rather than spending £99 on it at PC World!
